Summary: A cross between a word search puzzle and trivia game, alongside your little worm buddy.
Word Worm is a cross between a word search puzzle and trivia game, developed for mobile and PC. Search and spell words relating to the puzzle theme to feed your worm buddy, and test your trivia knowledge! For this project, I was responsible for the overall UI design of the game, including character animations for the beloved worm.
I decided to keep the UI relatively simple for this small project, with minimalistic letter tiles and colour palette. To give the game a bit more personality, we decided to turn the word worm into a character, with 2d animations made in AfterEffects. In addition, it was given the ability to speak to the player. This was my first time animating the sprites for a character for a game, and I'm glad to have learnt much more about implementing visual assets into Unity!
